FYF

Friday 10 December 2010
Flawless You Forver, known as FYF in the beauty world, are a relatively new American make up brand.

"A range of core and mineral make-up, skincare and spa products specially designed to keep you looking the way you should. Gorgeous!"

The products arrived neatly wrapped in crisp pink tissue paper and were neatly arranged, making the packaging look stunning.

FYF has been all over Youtube recently with reviews and raves, as everyone is loving their products. If you have already heard about FYF prior to this post, then the product you will most probably instantly recognise is their Floral Blush.

Floral Blush in Romance, £11.85

This blush is absolutely stunning and is a favourite amongst all. If you haven't tried it out, do! As it combines three shades to create a pretty rose pink.

Floral Blush in Romance, £11.85

It's highly pigmented and is soft & smooth to apply. The rose shape of the blush is another bonus, as unlike the MAC ones a couple of years back, these keep their shape brilliantly. This is a definite must have. £11.85

Radiant Eye Shadow in Moon Beam £7.49

Another of their products is their Radiant Eye Shadow in Moon Beam. Now this is absolutely gorgeous! It has been described as an 'all that glitters' without the pink undertones, and I agree. It is a gentle brown with silver pearl and can be worn softly all over the lid for a hint of sparkle or can be used to add some depth to the eye through the crease. £7.49 (swatch below)
I love this, and would love to try out some of their other colours too.

Their website is brilliant, as it converts into multiple currencies, as well as offering free worldwide shipping.
They have recently installed a virtual makeover application which allows you to try their products onto a model, however, I would say that the swatches aren't that brilliant.

Virtual Makeover showing the Moisturising Dewdrop Lipstick in Cranberry
taken from www.flawlessyouforever.com

Shown on the model is the Moisturising Dewdrop lipstick in cranberry, and as you can see it's different to what's shown on the model. Don't get me wrong, this is a gorgeous colour, but when your expecting a peachy, coral-y pink, it is slightly disappointing. However, regardless of the colour the pigmentation is good, and the payoff is brilliant.

Dewdrop Moisturising Lipstick in Cranberry £8.73

Away from the colour issues, the Lipstick contains Vitamin E and soothing emollients to keep your lips smooth, soft and moisturised. A true swatch of Cranberry is below, along with the eye shadow in moon beam and another Lipstick in Natalie, mentioned below.

Shown on the swatch is the Couture Pout Mineral Lipstick in Natalie. This is a lovely pink nude, and everyone loves it. It has been featured on Pearls and Poodles, The Style Diet, and Bella's Beauty Spot.

Couture Pout Mineral Lipstick in Natalie £11.23
The lipstick combines the best of science and nature to give you a 'youthful pucker' by visibly reducing fine lines. It is formulated with shea butter and lip conditioners like avocado and jojoba oil, they hydrate your lips and keep them soft and supple. £11.23

The last on the list is the Miracle Coat Nail Enamel, and this was a slight disappointment. It was due to the swatch situation, as what I thought would be a lovely light, matte nude colour, turned out to be a French pink, that simply gave the nails some shine. It is priced at £5.61, which is not bad, but if I am honest, I would rather nip to boots and pick up a top coat for £2-£4.

FYF are currently working on their website swatches and working with different technologies that are available to bring their customers an authentic experience.

What do you think??
