Recently I have been trying out Nailene's new Ultra Adhesive Tabs.
These are an acetone and glue -free stick on accessory, perfect for giving yourself that gorgeous manicure with minimal fuss or mess.
And I have to say, that claim is absolutely correct they are easy to apply, and look like regular falsies without the added nail damage :)
Here they are out of the packet, and as you can see they are completely clear and so there will be no difference between the finished look, whether you use tabs or glue..
Here is a quick how-to using theirNail Studio Nails...
1. You will need: one pack of Nailene's nail studio nails - mine are Petite French 71249, a nail file (I am using the one included with the nails, but feel free to use any), tweezers, ultra gel tabs, & scissors/nail clippers.
2. Shape your nails into a comfortable size and buff the tops to remove any oils, dirt or ridges. Then grab your falsies and measure up the perfect size ready for application later on!
3. After you have filed your nails, you will need to decide which tab to apply. Choose the correct size by placing the tabs over your nail to see which has the best fit. one tab mus fit the majority of the nail but not touch the cuticle.
4. Once you've decided on which will fit best, peel it off gently with your tweezers and place it onto the nail, careful not to touch the cuticle.
The tabs come on a peel-off sheet, making them easy to apply straight to the nail. - no mess, no fuss - fabulous!
5. Using your scissors or nail clippers, cut off the excess of the tab that may be hanging over the edge of your nail.
Next you will need to press on your chosen nail, and voila!
You’re done. Perfect looking nails in an instant.
They look fabulous and they claim to last for upto 5 days! However I found that after 3 they did start to move around and bubble a little.
As you can also see in the picture below a sort of white line emerged around the edge of the nail.
